Ruimei Elementary School

Ruimei Elementary began as a trial class in September 1965, was approved as the "Ruipu National School Ruimei Branch" in November 1966, and became an independent school in August 1970. Its class count has swung dramatically over the decades: 19 classes in the 1996-97 school year, 27 by 1998-99, and a peak of 38 classes in 2003-04. When neighboring Yangguang Elementary opened, some students shifted out of Ruimei's catchment, temporarily dropping its enrollment to 17 classes and just over 400 students; since the 2019-20 school year the school has also run a kindergarten, admitting its first cohort of 30 children. Today Ruimei runs 24 elementary classes plus one kindergarten class, serving 602 students, and it also runs a dedicated physical-education track in partnership with Ruipu Elementary.

瑞梅國小於民國54年（1965年）9月試辦分班；民國55年（1966年）11月准設為「瑞埔國校瑞梅分校」；民國59年（1970年）8月獨立設校為瑞梅國小。學校規模歷經多次擴增：85學年19班、87學年27班、92學年度達38班的高峰。因楊光國小設校，部分學區學生移出，班級數一度降為17班、學生400多人；108學年度（2019年）起開設幼兒園，首屆招收30名幼兒。目前國小部24班、幼兒園1班，學生人數602人。設有體育班，與瑞埔國小合作辦理招生甄選。
