Longgang Elementary School

Longgang Elementary was founded in 1962 and sits at the center of one of Taiwan's most distinctive ethnic enclaves — a large community of Yunnan and Burma-origin KMT veterans and their descendants, famous locally for the neighborhood's "Yunnan-Burma alley" and its rice noodle (米干) cuisine. Repeated road-widening projects have shrunk the existing campus over the years, prompting the city to build an entirely new campus roughly one kilometer from the current site — a facility that will also partly serve nearby Longxing Elementary. The "build first, then relocate" project includes underground parking and carries a total cost exceeding NT$1.1 billion, with completion expected in 2027.

龍岡國小創立於民國51年（1962年），座落於台灣最具特色的族群聚落之一——雲南、緬甸籍國軍老兵及其後裔聚居的地區，當地著名的「雲南、緬甸巷」與米干文化即源於此。因道路多次拓寬而使校地不斷縮減，市府因此規劃於現址約一公里外興建全新校舍，未來也將部分供龍興國小使用。此「先建後拆」遷校計畫包含地下停車場，總經費逾新台幣11億元，預計於民國116年（2027年）完工。
