A new school, built from the ground up.
Linsen Elementary was founded on February 1, 1995, when the Taiwan Provincial Government appointed founding principal Zhao Pingsheng to plan the new school from the ground up. The main campus building was completed in August 1997, and the school opened for enrollment that same academic year (86學年度). Unlike many of Zhongli's schools, which trace their history back to older branch classrooms, Linsen was built entirely new — a sign of how much residential development continued along Linsen Road even after most of the district's older schools were already well established.
What makes this school worth knowing.
🏗️ Built From the Ground Up
從零興建的新校
Unlike most of Zhongli's schools, which grew out of older branch classrooms, Linsen Elementary was planned and constructed entirely from scratch starting in 1995.
📐 A Provincial-Government Appointment
省府指派創校校長
The Taiwan Provincial Government appointed founding principal Zhao Pingsheng specifically to plan and open the school, an administrative process typical of the era just before Taiwan's provincial government was streamlined.
🏘️ Densifying Central Zhongli
市區持續密集化
Linsen's mid-1990s founding reflects continued residential build-out along Linsen Road, even as most of Zhongli's older schools had already been established decades earlier.
Growth that never quite stopped.
Linsen Elementary's founding in the mid-1990s — well after most of Zhongli's schools were established — reflects the continued densification of the district's urban core. Even as older neighborhoods filled in, new residential development along Linsen Road created enough demand for an entirely new school built from the ground up.
