Guangming Elementary School

Guangming Elementary began as a branch of Jinxing Elementary set up in 1997, opened to students in 1998, and became independent as Guangming Elementary in 1999. It has grown dramatically since, from an initial 26 classes and 944 students to 68 classes and 1,805 students by 2023, with 157 staff — making it the largest school in Luzhu District today. The school runs a South Nankan Creek place-based curriculum with six units, from green-life mapping to a mini-marathon, that uses the waterway running past the school as a teaching resource.

光明國小於民國86年（1997年）以錦興國小分校形式設立，民國87年（1998年）開始招生，民國88年（1999年）獨立設校。此後成長迅速，從最初26班、944名學生，成長至民國112年（2023年）的68班、1,805名學生、教職員157人，是目前蘆竹區規模最大的學校。學校發展出以流經校園的南崁溪為核心的六大主題特色課程，涵蓋綠色生活地圖繪製、迷你馬拉松、「小溪的故事」等單元。
