Dongxing Junior High School

Dongxing Junior High opened in 1985, with a preparatory office established the year before. It began with 10 first-year classes, initially borrowing classroom space from both Longgang Elementary and Xinyi Elementary before its own campus was completed in 1987. In 2000 the school was approved to establish a dedicated dance-class program. It became municipal on December 25, 2014, and in 2025 was designated for enrollment scale control due to high demand in its catchment.

東興國中於1985年開校，前一年設立籌備處。創校初期招收10班新生，最初借用龍岡國小與信義國小的教室，直到1987年自有校舍完工。2000年獲准成立舞蹈班。2014年12月25日改制為市立學校，2025年因學區需求量大，被列為規模總量管制學校。
