Dapo Elementary School

Dapo Elementary was founded in 1914, during the Japanese colonial era, as a branch of Xinwu Public School (新屋公學校大坡分校), becoming an independent school five years later in 1919. Commonly described as a "century-old school" (百年老校), Dapo has itself spawned other institutions: its own branch at Kantoucuo, founded in 1920, split off to become an independent school in 1929 — the same lineage that eventually grew into today's Yong'an Elementary School. On campus, students enjoy a ukulele-themed music playground and two resident pet goats, both popular with visiting families.

大坡國小創立於1914年（大正3年）日治時期，最初是新屋公學校的分校（新屋公學校大坡分校），五年後（1919年，大正8年）獨立設校，是公認的「百年老校」。大坡國小本身也孕育了其他學校——其崁頭厝分教場設立於1920年，1929年獨立設校，這一脈絡日後便發展成今日的永安國小。校內設有以烏克麗麗為主題的音樂遊戲場，並飼養兩隻寵物山羊，深受來訪家庭喜愛。
