Dalun Junior High began in 1961 as a branch campus of Xinming Junior High, becoming an independent school, Taoyuan County Dalun Junior Middle School, in August 1963, and taking its present name, Dalun National Junior High School, in 1968. It became municipal on December 25, 2014. The school is known for its ceramics and pottery arts education, using "陶藝盎然" (thriving ceramic arts) as its tagline, and its district covers Neicuo, Yuemei, Shandong, and parts of Guoling and Zhiba villages — plus part of neighboring Dayuan District's Heping village.
大崙國中創立於民國50年(1961年),最初為新明初中的大崙分部,1963年8月獨立設校,改名為桃園縣立大崙初級中學;1968年更名為大崙國民中學。2014年12月25日改制為市立學校。學校以陶藝教育著稱,以「陶藝盎然」作為特色標語,學區涵蓋內厝、月眉、山東、部分過嶺與埔頂里,以及大園區和平里的部分區域。
