Dacheng Elementary began in 1923 as a branch school of Bade Elementary serving the Danan (大湳) farming hamlet, becoming independent in 1928 and taking its current name in 1968. The school marked its 100th anniversary in 2023 with Taoyuan's mayor in attendance, who praised it for having “witnessed Bade's development” (見證八德發展) over the past century.
