Wan'an Elementary School

Wan'an Elementary's roots trace back to 1941, when it began as a branch of what is now Fuyuan Elementary School. It became a fully independent school in 1945. Along the way, Wan'an itself once operated a branch campus that gained independence in 1959, only to be merged back into the main school in 1996 as enrollment in the surrounding countryside declined. Today, Wan'an holds a singular distinction: at 8.43 hectares, it has the largest campus of any public or private elementary school in Taiwan — set amid the very rice paddies of Wan'an Village that appear in the famous "Mr. Brown's Avenue" advertisement and that produce Chishang's world-renowned rice.

萬安國小的校史可追溯至民國30年（1941年），最初為今日福原國小的分班，於民國34年（1945年）正式獨立設校。萬安國小本身也曾設有分校，於民國48年（1959年）獨立設校，卻在民國85年（1996年）因周邊農村人口減少而併回本校。如今，萬安國小擁有一項獨特紀錄：校地面積達8.43公頃，是全台公私立國小中最大的校園——就座落於「伯朗大道」廣告場景所在、也是池上舉世聞名稻米產地的萬安村稻田之間。
