Zhongzheng Junior High School

Zhongzheng Junior High School was officially established in August 1983, after a preparatory office — tasked with land acquisition and relocation work under a founding director — was first set up in 1979 at Jinhua Junior High. Its name comes directly from Zhongzheng District, which was itself named for "Zhongzheng," the formal given name of Chiang Kai-shek. Built during Taipei's 1980s expansion of junior-high capacity, the school has since built a modern reputation: it received the Taipei Education Bureau's "Excellence in Schools" award in 2024 for campus renovations including a new school gate, walls, elevator, and next-generation learning spaces, followed by the Ministry of Education's Arts Education Contribution Award in 2025.

中正國中於民國72年（1983年）8月正式成立，其籌備處早於民國68年（1979年）即設於金華國中，由首任籌備主任負責校地取得與遷校事宜。校名直接取自「中正區」，而「中正」正是蔣中正先生的本名。本校興建於台北市1980年代國中教育擴充時期，近年屢獲肯定：2024年獲臺北市教育局「卓越學校」獎（校園整建含校門、圍牆、電梯與新世代學習空間），並於2025年獲教育部藝術教育貢獻獎。
