Taipei Municipal Xihu Elementary School

Taipei Municipal Xihu Elementary School was founded in 1978 and, like its neighbor Xihu Experimental Junior High, takes its name from the historic marsh and lake terrain of western Neihu that was drained and built over as the district urbanized. The school runs gifted-and-talented, resource, and bilingual-education classes, giving students a range of specialized academic pathways. Beyond academics, Xihu also hosts the 284th Scout troop and a Taiwanese opera (歌仔戲) club, offering students both an internationally recognized youth program and a distinctly local performing-arts tradition.

西湖國小創立於民國67年（1978年），與鄰近的西湖實驗國中同樣，校名取自昔日西內湖沼澤湖泊地形，這片濕地隨著地區都市化而被填平開發。學校開設資優班、資源班與雙語教育班，提供學生多元的學習路徑。除了學術課程，西湖國小還設有284童軍團與歌仔戲社，讓學生同時接觸國際認可的青少年活動與具有濃厚地方特色的表演藝術傳統。
