Minsheng Junior High opened in August 1968, within the Minsheng Community — Taiwan's first American-style planned neighborhood. 民生國中創立於民國57年（1968年）8月，座落於台灣首個美式規劃社區——民生社區之內。學校設有數理資優班，並於民國95年（2006年）配合台北市「校園優質化工程」進行大規模校園整建。與鄰近的介壽國中相同，民生國中的校園特色與民生社區在1960至70年代深受美式規劃影響的都市發展史密不可分。
