Taipei Municipal Minghu Elementary School was founded in 1987 on Kangning Road, in the cluster of "湖" (lake)-named schools that trace back to Neihu's original lake and marsh geography. 明湖國小創立於民國76年（1987年），位於康寧路，屬於一系列源自內湖原始湖沼地形的「湖」字校名學校群之一。截至110學年度（2021年），全校共62班、1,683名學生、120位教師。校內設施包括地下游泳池與水生植物教學池，並設有天文社與機器人程式社，讓學生同時接觸自然科學與科技領域的實作學習。
