Jingmei Elementary School

Jingmei Elementary School was founded in 1897 (Meiji 30), during the Japanese colonial era, as the "Keelung Japanese Language Training Institute Jingwei Branch" (基隆國語傳習所景尾分教場), formally reorganized as "Jingwei Public School" (景尾公學校) the following year. The school was renamed several times through the colonial and postwar periods, taking its current name, Jingmei Elementary School, in 1990 when the Muzha and Jingmei districts merged to form Wenshan District.

Often called "文山第一校" (Wenshan's First School), Jingmei Elementary is the oldest school in the Jingmei/Wenshan area, with roughly 128 years of history as of 2026. The school celebrated its 100th anniversary in 1997, when then-President Lee Teng-hui presented a commemorative monument inscribed "百年樹人" ("a hundred years to cultivate a person"). Its 1906 branch campus later became independent as Muzha Elementary School.

景美國小創立於1897年（明治30年）日治時期，初名「基隆國語傳習所景尾分教場」，隔年正式改制為「景尾公學校」。歷經日治與戰後多次更名，於1990年隨木柵、景美兩區合併為文山區而定名為「景美國小」。

學校常被稱為「文山第一校」，是景美與文山地區歷史最悠久的學校，截至2026年已有約128年校史。1997年學校歡慶建校百週年，時任總統李登輝並致贈「百年樹人」紀念碑。1906年設立的分教場後獨立為木柵國小。
