Hushan Elementary School

Hushan Elementary was founded in 1943, its campus site reportedly a Japanese businessman's private villa before it was requisitioned by the government after Taiwan's retrocession. The school is the only one in Taiwan with an on-campus hot-spring foot-soaking pool, built in 2001 and open to the public on weekends and school holidays. Its natural playground also features a treehouse, a sand pit, and a terrazzo (磨石子) slide.

湖山國小創校於民國32年（1943年），校地相傳原為一名日本商人的私人別墅，戰後由政府接收改設學校。學校是全台灣唯一擁有校內溫泉泡腳池的學校，設立於民國90年（2001年），週末及學校假日開放民眾使用。校內自然遊戲區還設有樹屋、沙坑及磨石子溜滑梯。
