Taipei Municipal Gongguan Elementary School

Gongguan Elementary sits in the Gongguan area near National Taiwan University's southern edge. The school once faced possible closure after enrollment fell to just 198 students, landing it on the education bureau's at-risk list — but a turnaround under new leadership, covered by CommonWealth Magazine, has since grown enrollment back past 400 students, including kindergarten.
