Touwu Elementary School

Touwu Elementary began in 1916 as a branch campus during the Japanese colonial era, becoming an independent school in 1920 and taking a new name in 1923. Over more than a century of operation, the school has produced over 12,000 alumni. Touwu Elementary has earned award-winning results in national Hakka-language, arts, and sports competitions, and maintains a long tradition of performing the ceremonial "Liuyi Dance" (六佾舞) at the county's Confucius memorial ceremony — a rare and prestigious cultural role for an elementary school.

頭屋國小創校於1916年（大正5年）的分校階段，1920年獨立設校，1923年再度更名。歷經百餘年辦學，校友人數已超過12,000人。頭屋國小曾在全國客語、藝文與體育競賽中屢獲佳績，並長年於苗栗縣祭孔典禮中表演「六佾舞」——這是一所國小相當難得且具代表性的文化角色。
