Toufen Elementary School

Toufen Elementary School traces its lineage back to the Japanese colonial era, around the late 1890s to early 1900s, when it began as a "Japanese Language Training Institute" (國語傳習所). It was later reorganized into a public school (公學校), then a national school (國民學校), before becoming today's elementary school. With over a century of continuous operation, Toufen Elementary stands as the founding institution for public education in Toufen City, the wellspring from which several later schools, including Jianguo and Pantao Elementary, were eventually split off.

頭份國小的歷史可追溯至日治時期，約1890年代末至1900年代初，最初為「國語傳習所」，其後歷經公學校、國民學校等階段，逐步發展為今日的國民小學。歷經百餘年持續辦學，頭份國小是頭份市公立教育的發源學校，包括建國國小、蟠桃國小等後來設立的學校，其學區都曾自頭份國小劃分而出。
