Founded in 1946 as Taipei County Toucheng Junior High School, this school was upgraded to a provincial senior high school in 1968, converted into a home-economics and commercial vocational school in 1988, and became a national school in 2000. In May 2026 it celebrated its 80th anniversary, honoring alumni who went on to lead major names in Taiwan's tourism and food industries — including the founder of Cola Tour and the founder of Lanyang Food Group. The school's motto, "Sincerity, Simplicity, Diligence, Perseverance" (誠、樸、勤、毅), reflects its practical, industry-facing approach to education.
學校創立於民國35年（1946年），初名台北縣立頭城初級中學，民國57年（1968年）改制為省立高中，民國77年（1988年）轉型為家事商業職業學校，民國89年（2000年）改為國立。民國115年（2026年）5月歡慶建校80週年，表彰在觀光與餐飲業界卓然有成的校友，包括可樂旅遊創辦人與蘭陽食品集團創辦人。校訓「誠、樸、勤、毅」，體現學校務實、面向產業的辦學精神。
