From bamboo-roofed classrooms to today's campus.
Xinlong Elementary was founded in 1943, during the final years of the Japanese colonial era. Its original school buildings were entirely wooden construction with bamboo-strip roofing, typical of rural schools of the period. The school has been renamed multiple times through subsequent political transitions, and today serves the predominantly Hakka farming communities of Xinlong and Shenglong villages.
