From borrowed classrooms to an independent school.

Wenfeng Elementary began life in 1966 as a three-classroom branch school known as "Zhangshu Branch" (樟樹分校), initially borrowing classroom space from nearby Tongluo Elementary School. Once its own building was completed in February 1967, it became independent as "Wenfeng National School" (文峰國民學校). The school today serves Zhangshu (Camphor Tree) Village, in the heart of Tongluo's Hakka persimmon-drying region.
