About · 學校簡介

A school built inside living heritage monuments.

Zhongyi Elementary School was founded on April 1, 1940 as "Shiomi Public School" (汐見公學校), renamed Shiomi National School the following year. After 1945 the school was renamed several more times, becoming "Tainan City South District Third National School," then "Yuquan National School," and later "Fengjia National School" after a nearby road was renamed. In 1953, the school swapped campus sites with a Tainan municipal junior high, moving to its current site on Zhongyi Road and taking the name "Zhongyi National School." It became Zhongyi Elementary School in 1968 under the nine-year compulsory education reform. The campus is directly adjacent to the Tainan Confucius Temple.
