A temple-village school that grew with its district.

Changxing Elementary School was established in 1918 as “Puqiangtou Public School's Taizimiao Branch” (埔姜頭公學校太子廟分教場). It became independent as “Taizimiao Public School” in 1921, was renamed “Taizimiao National School” in 1941, “Rende Township's Third National School” in 1946, “Changxing National School” in 1947, and finally “Changxing Elementary School” in 1968 under nine-year compulsory education. The school established a special-education class in September 1982, and its “Changxing Hall” was completed in June 1986. An attached kindergarten was added in August 2017.

長興國小創校於民國7年(1918年),初設「埔姜頭公學校太子廟分教場」。民國10年(1921年)獨立設校,改稱「太子廟公學校」,1941年改名「太子廟國民學校」,1946年改稱「仁德鄉第三國民學校」,1947年改名「長興國民學校」,1968年九年國教實施後定名「長興國民小學」。學校於民國71年(1982年)9月設立啟智班,「長興館」於民國75年(1986年)6月落成,並於民國106年(2017年)8月增設附設幼兒園。
