Tainan Municipal Xinxing Junior High School

Xinxing Junior High School was established on August 1, 1981, to serve the growing population of the Xinxing public housing community (新興國宅) in South District. Ground was broken on June 4, 1981, but because the campus buildings were not yet finished when the school opened, its first students initially borrowed classrooms at Zhongshan Junior High before relocating to the new campus in June 1982. In 1983 the city granted the school an adjacent parcel of reserved school land, expanding the campus by about 1.55 hectares. The school promotes four core values for its students: vitality, gratitude, diversity, and innovation.

新興國中於1981年（民國70年）8月1日成立，為服務南區新興國宅社區快速成長的人口而設立。同年6月4日動工，因校舍尚未完工，首屆學生先借用中山國中教室上課，直到1982年6月才遷入新校舍。1983年（民國72年），市府撥用鄰近保留校地，使校地擴增約1.55公頃。學校以「活力、感恩、多元、創新」作為核心價值。
