Xinnan Elementary School

Xinnan Elementary was founded in 1952, originally located in a lane beside the Tainan Canal. It later relocated together with neighboring Jincheng Junior High to a new campus beside Tainan City Hall, on the former "Sakariba" market site, as part of the Tainan Canal "Star Diamond" redevelopment plan that addressed enrollment decline from an aging surrounding community. The new 27,664-square-meter campus was designed in 2010–2011 and built 2011–2014, and has been recognized for green-building design by the Taiwan Green Building Development Association.

新南國小創立於1952年（民國41年），原址位於臺南運河旁的巷弄內。後隨鄰近的金城國中一同遷至臺南市政府旁、原「盛場」（Sakariba）市集舊址的新校區，作為運河星鑽計畫的一環，以因應周邊社區人口老化導致的招生下滑問題。新校區佔地27,664平方公尺，於2010至2011年規劃、2011至2014年興建，並獲台灣綠建築發展協會肯定其綠建築設計。
