Wenchang Elementary School

Wenchang Elementary takes its name from Wenchang Dijun, the Confucian and Daoist patron deity of literature and scholarship — a naming choice common in old market towns like Yanshui that once prized literati success alongside their commercial prosperity as a port town. Despite multiple research attempts, no source could confirm the school's exact founding year, as its own history page was not accessible during research. Today the school runs an Indigenous-language education program, holds health-promotion school certification, and maintains a family-education guidance and evaluation program.

文昌國小校名取自主司文運與學業的儒道信仰神祇「文昌帝君」——這樣的命名在鹽水這類曾以商業繁盛與文教並重的老市街相當常見。儘管多次查證，因學校「校史與沿革」頁面資料無法取得，目前尚無法確認確切創校年份。學校目前推動本土語文教育課程，取得健康促進學校認證，並持續辦理家庭教育輔導評鑑相關工作。
