It joined CommonWealth Magazine's "Hope Reading" (希望閱讀) rural-literacy alliance in 2006 and, in 2008, became home to the sixth "Yushan Library" nationwide — the first in what was then Tainan County — funded by E.Sun Bank. It went on to win the Ministry of Education's "Reading Cornerstone School Award" (閱讀磐石學校獎) in 2011.
