Liujia Elementary School

Liujia Elementary was founded in 1906 (Meiji 39, 民國前6年), making it over 118 years old — one of the oldest schools in the Liujia area, predating the Wushantou Reservoir (completed 1930) itself. The school has educated generations of farming families across the rice country that the reservoir later irrigated. It runs a sports class (體育班), a rowing/dragon-boat team, and an active volleyball program, and won a Teaching Excellence Silver Award for its rice-culture project, "情牽六甲愛稻永遠" ("Bound to Liujia, Loving Rice Forever").

六甲國小創校於明治39年（民國前6年，1906年），創校已逾118年，是六甲地區歷史最悠久的學校之一，甚至早於1930年完工的烏山頭水庫。學校世世代代教育著水庫灌溉稻作區的農家子弟。校內設有體育班、龍舟／划船隊，以及活躍的排球隊，並曾以稻米文化課程「情牽六甲愛稻永遠」榮獲教學卓越獎銀質獎。
