A small school between two rivers, reaching outward.
Jinhu Elementary's exact founding date is not confirmed in available records, but the school today is very small — about six classes and 30 students in the 2022–23 school year — serving four hamlet communities: Duzaitou, Xinduzaitou, Beima, and Baimi. It is bounded by the Bazhang River to the north and Jishui River to the south, in the district's historic salt-producing lowland, near the Nankunshen Daitian Temple and the Leofoo Wildlife Zoo.

🏝️ Reaching All the Way to Penghu
連續四年前往東吉嶼淨灘
Students have traveled four consecutive years to Dongji Island in the Penghu archipelago for a beach-cleanup program — a remarkably outward-looking environmental effort for such a small school.
🥁 Lion Dance, Taiko, and Cajón
舞獅、太鼓、木箱鼓社團
The school runs lion-dance, taiko, and cajón (box drum) clubs, giving its small student body a range of performing-arts activities.
🌊 Between Two Rivers
夾於八掌溪與急水溪之間
Jinhu is bounded by the Bazhang River to the north and the Jishui River to the south, sitting in the heart of Beimen's historic salt-producing lowland.
Between two rivers, in salt country.
Jinhu is a tiny riverine school between two of Beimen's defining waterways, in the heart of the district's historic salt-producing lowland. Its outward-looking environmental program — reaching all the way to Penghu's outer islands — stands in contrast to the school's small, quiet setting. See the Tainan county page for more on the region.
