Jianan Elementary School

Jianan Elementary's predecessor, 六甲尋常高等小學校, was established around 1921–1922 (Taisho 10-11) specifically to educate the children of the Japanese engineers working on the Wushantou (Chianan) irrigation project. It was refounded as "官田鄉第三國民學校" in October 1946, renamed 嘉南國民學校 in 1953, and became 嘉南國民小學 in 1968. After 1946, its catchment merged three villages — Dazhi, Hushan, and Jianan — into one school district. Although its campus sits within Liujia District, some municipal records still administratively cross-reference it with neighboring Guantian District.

嘉南國小前身「六甲尋常高等小學校」創立於大正10至11年間（1921–1922年），最初專為興建烏山頭（嘉南）水利工程的日籍工程師子女設校。1946年10月改組為「官田鄉第三國民學校」，1953年更名嘉南國民學校，1968年再改稱嘉南國民小學。1946年後，學區合併大丘、湖山、嘉南三個聚落，成為單一學區。雖然校址位於六甲區內，部分市政資料仍將其與鄰近的官田區併同列管。
