Dongxing Elementary School

Dongxing Elementary began on July 23, 1955 (民國44年), as a branch of Xiaying Elementary named "興仁分校," renamed "東興分校" later that same year. It became an independent school, 東興國民學校, on August 1, 1961, and was renamed 東興國民小學 in 1968. According to Tainan's open data, Dongxing has the largest student enrollment of any elementary school in Xiaying District, drawing students from across the farming and goose-raising villages that ring the district center. The school established a mid-to-severe intellectual disability special-education class in 1988 and a preschool itinerant-support class in 2007, and runs dedicated mother-tongue, environmental-education, and health-promotion program websites.

東興國小前身為民國44年（1955年）7月23日設立的下營國小「興仁分校」，同年稍後改稱「東興分校」，民國50年（1961年）8月1日獨立設校，定名東興國民學校，1968年再改稱東興國民小學。根據台南市開放資料，東興國小是下營區學生人數最多的國小，學生來自環繞區中心的各農牧與養鵝村落。學校於1988年成立中重度智能障礙特教班，2007年設立學前巡迴輔導班，並設有母語教學、環境教育及健康促進等專屬網站。
