Dongshan Junior High School

Dongshan Junior High School opened in August 1966 to serve the town center of Dongshan District. Alongside its academic programs, the school runs a distinctive beekeeping (養蜂) course, in which students learn to keep bees and make honey beverages — drawing on the same cool, misty highland terrain that makes Dongshan coffee one of Taiwan's most recognized single-origin coffees. The school also hosts an English public-speaking competition, "Speak on Stage," and runs an international-education program called "Kherian Jay," which has introduced students to cultures such as Belize. It is currently rebuilding its north classroom building and has recently completed new athletic facilities.

東山國中創校於民國55年（1966年）8月，服務東山區市街中心一帶。除一般學科課程外，學校開設特色養蜂課程，讓學生學習養蜂並製作蜂蜜飲品——運用的正是使東山咖啡成為台灣知名單品咖啡產地的同一片清涼多霧高地地形。學校也舉辦英語演講比賽「Speak on Stage」，並透過國際教育專案「Kherian Jay」帶領學生認識其他國家文化，近期主題聚焦貝里斯。校內目前正在重建北棟教室大樓，運動設施也已完成更新。
