Dacheng Elementary School was founded in 1959 as a branch of Shanhua Elementary School (大成分校), becoming independent around 1963 — its 113th-academic-year (2024-25) sports day was billed as a 62nd-anniversary celebration. The school sits on Dacheng Road, the same street as National Shanhua Senior High School, and runs an active alumni and community events calendar, including “starlight concerts” and Children's Day activities alongside its annual sports day.
大成國小創立於民國48年（1959年），最初是善化國小的分校「大成分校」，約於民國52年（1963年）獨立設校。113學年度（2024-25年）的校慶運動會即以建校62週年為主題盛大舉辦。學校位於大成路上，與國立善化高中同街比鄰而居，並常年舉辦豐富的校友與社區活動，包括「星空音樂會」與兒童節活動等。
