From a branch campus to an English-education hub.

Bo'ai Elementary School began in September 1961 as the "Shengli National School Zhuyuan Branch" (勝利國民學校竹園分校), becoming an independent school in August 1963 as "Tainan City East District Bo'ai National School." It was renamed Bo'ai Elementary School in 1968 under the nine-year compulsory education reform. Its current campus buildings were completed in phases in 2005 and 2007, and in 2009 the school established Tainan City's "International English Village" (國際英語村), a citywide immersive-English program facility that continues to operate on campus today.
