National Taitung University Affiliated Physical Education Senior High School

Established in 1989 under a directive from the Executive Yuan and Ministry of Education, this school was set up as Taiwan's only national single-discipline (sports) complete middle school. It opened in 1995 as the "National Taitung Physical Education Experimental Senior High School" and became affiliated with National Taitung University in 2005, taking its present name. The campus runs eleven competitive sports teams — including track and field, judo, modern pentathlon, taekwondo, shooting, archery, baseball, weightlifting, soft tennis, fencing, and women's soccer — supported by two gymnasiums, a swimming complex, and a shooting range.

學校於1989年（民國78年）依行政院及教育部指示成立，是全臺唯一的國立單一類科（體育）完全中學。1995年以「國立臺東體育實驗高級中學」之名招生，2005年改隸屬國立臺東大學，更為現名。校內設有田徑、柔道、現代五項、跆拳道、射擊、射箭、棒球、舉重、軟式網球、擊劍、女子足球等十一項運動代表隊，並配備兩座體育館、游泳池及靶場等設施。
