Sijie Elementary opened in 1915 as a branch of Yilan Public School (宜蘭公學校四結分校), starting with just 29 students taught in a private house. It became independent in 1918 as Yilan District Sijie Public School and took its current name, 四結國民小學, in 1968. With over 100 years of history, the school established Yilan's first elementary-school skateboarding club, and its motto emphasizes health, happiness, groundedness, and care for others.
四結國小創立於民國4年（1915年），最初為宜蘭公學校四結分校，僅29名學生於民宅上課。民國7年（1918年）獨立設校，改名宜蘭郡四結公學校，民國57年（1968年）更改現名。校史逾百年，學校創立了宜蘭第一個國小滑板社團，校訓強調健康、快樂、腳踏實地與關懷他人。
