About · 學校簡介

More than 50 years of arts-focused education.

Shuangyuan Junior High School was established in 1967 in the old Shuangyuan (雙園) district of Wanhua, named for the riverside wards that once lined the Xindian River. In the 1998 academic year the school launched a gifted dance program (舞蹈資優班), which was converted into an "Arts Talent Dance Class" (藝術才能舞蹈班) in 2010 and remains a signature program today. Across more than 50 years and nine principals, Shuangyuan has built a reputation for arts-focused, whole-person education within the Wanhua community.

🚤

Shuangyuan Junior High sits in the historic Shuangyuan district, one of Wanhua's old riverside wards shaped by boat trade along the Xindian River — an economy that grew directly out of Bangka (艋舺), also known as Monga, Taiwan's earliest riverside trading settlement. Bangka's core still centers on Longshan Temple (龍山寺) and its adjoining Herb Lane (青草巷), the district's enduring spiritual and commercial anchors, which the Shuangyuan riverfront once served as a working waterfront.
