Double dragons guarding a pearl.
Shuanglong Elementary was founded in 2005 and celebrated its 20th anniversary in March 2025. At the anniversary event, Taoyuan Deputy Mayor Su Jun-bin explained the school's name, "雙龍" ("Double Dragon"), as symbolizing "雙龍護珠" (double dragons guarding a pearl) — with one "dragon" representing school leadership, the PTA, and civic supporters, and the other representing parents as the children's strongest backing. The school's facilities include a library, the "Longteng Hall" (龍騰館) gymnasium, and an upgraded running track, all funded through municipal support. It is one of Longtan's newest and smaller elementary schools, reflecting continued residential growth in the area near the science park.

🏘️ Built for a Growing Longtan
One of the district's newest and smaller schools, built to absorb residential growth near the science park.
One of Longtan's dragon-named schools.
Like several other Longtan schools, its name plays on the district's "dragon" identity (龍潭 = "Dragon Pool"); it is one of the youngest schools in the district, built to absorb population growth from Longtan's ongoing science-park-driven development. See the Taoyuan county page for more on the region.
