A century of names, rooted in the same soil.

Shoufeng Elementary traces its lineage to 1916, when it opened under Japanese rule as the "Yuemei Aboriginal Public School Liyuwei Branch." It became independent the following year and has since passed through at least five name changes before settling on its current name in 1968. Today the school is designated an Indigenous-focus school, with Amis students making up roughly half its enrollment as of 2024 — a continuity of the mixed farming community the school has served for over a century.
