Shizi, a Paiwan mountain corridor to the east coast.
Shizi (Lion) Township is a Paiwan indigenous mountain township straddling the route of the South Cross-Island Highway toward Taitung, with communities perched along the mountainous corridor between the Hengchun Peninsula and the East Coast. As one of southern Taiwan's Paiwan distribution areas, Shizi Junior High's students carry forward this mountain heritage even as the school's location places it at a literal crossroads between sea, mountains, and two coasts.
