Tainan Municipal Shenggong Elementary School

Shenggong Elementary School's application was filed in 1911, and it opened on April 1, 1912, as the "Anping Public School, Yongning Branch." It became independent on April 24, 1916, as "Yongning Public School." Alongside Rixin Elementary, Shenggong is one of the two oldest schools in South District, tracing back over 110 years to the Japanese colonial-era Anping public-school system. In 1949, Shenggong spun off its own branch school, which later became Xishu Elementary School. Locally, the area behind the school is also known for a popular late-night fried chicken stand, a minor but well-known neighborhood landmark.

省躬國小的設校申請於1911年提出，並於1912年（明治45年）4月1日以「安平公學校永寧分校」名義開校，1916年（大正5年）4月24日獨立設校，定名「永寧公學校」。與日新國小並列南區兩所歷史最悠久的學校，校史可溯自日治時期安平公學校體系，逾110年。1949年，省躬國小分出自己的分校，後來獨立為喜樹國小。學校後方一帶也以一攤知名的深夜鹹酥雞（「無名脆肉攤」）聞名鄰里。
