Shangren Elementary School originated as a branch campus of Qidu Elementary School before becoming independent in September 1965. 尚仁國民小學前身為七堵國民小學的分校,於民國54年(1965年)9月獨立設校。校址鄰近基隆河與鶯歌溪匯流處,校內一座特色溜滑梯遊具頗負盛名,除了服務在地學童外,也吸引許多親子家庭前來造訪。
