Sanpi Elementary School is a small rural school in Sanye Village, Lujhu District, enrolling roughly 61 students as of 2023. Though its own founding date is not recorded, the school holds historical standing in the area as a "mother school" — it spun off a branch campus in 1952 that later became today's independent Beiling Elementary School. Sanpi has earned national recognition for its traditional puppet theatre (傀儡戲) troupe, a distinction unusual for a school of its size.
