Ruixiang Senior High School was established on July 1, 1983, and later became the first school in Kaohsiung to be converted into a "complete" junior-and-senior high school, combining both levels on one campus. It opened a bilingual experimental class in 2021 and has run a dual-diploma partnership with an American high school since 2020, letting students earn both a Taiwanese and an American diploma.
