Lixing Elementary was founded in April 1922 as a "蕃童教育所" — an education institute for Aboriginal children — under Japanese rule, making it one of the oldest schools in Ren'ai Township. The school relocated from its original site at Wangyang in 1978 and today operates a branch campus, the Cuilan Branch School. As of 2019, about 90% of its students were Atayal and 10% Seediq.
力行國小創校於1922年(大正11年)4月,日治時期設立為「蕃童教育所」,是仁愛鄉歷史最悠久的學校之一。1978年(民國67年)自原望洋校址遷移至現址,並設有翠巒分校。截至2019年,全校學生約九成為泰雅族,一成為賽德克族。
