Fazhi Elementary serves the children of Fazhi Village, deep in the mountains of Ren'ai Township near the historic Wushe area. The school is best known for its "field teacher" outdoor nature-education program, developed in partnership with the local community, which brings students out of the classroom and into the surrounding forest and farmland to learn. Alongside this, the school competes in Nantou County's indigenous folk-song competitions and fields a little-league baseball team that won a county championship in 2024.
