A literary name in the city center.

Qixian Elementary was founded in 1976 under its founding principal, Su Dengguang. Its name comes from Qixian Road, itself a reference to the "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove" (竹林七賢), a group of renowned Chinese scholars and poets. Guided by a vision of "innovation, diversity, cooperation, and gratitude," the school operates alongside a nearby affiliated junior high school, Qixian Junior High.
