Born from local advocacy and donated land.

Qionglin Junior High School opened in August 1946 as Hsinchu County Qionglin Junior Middle School, founded through the advocacy of local leader Tang Tian-cai, with support from Zou Qing-zhi and Zou Di-zhi. A mountain temple trust donated 2.5 jia of land for the campus in 1947. The school began with just 2 classes and 110 students, initially borrowing rooms from neighboring Qionglin Elementary School. Today it continues to teach traditional bamboo weaving as part of its curriculum.
