Farmland branch school to HSR-zone anchor.
Qingpu Elementary began in December 1946 as a branch classroom of Xinjie Elementary School, becoming independent in 1950. For decades its campus covered only about 0.8 hectares, but after the Taoyuan High Speed Rail Qingpu Special Development Zone's urban plan was adjusted, the school expanded to 2.287 hectares. The city government rebuilt the entire campus in phases, breaking ground in February 2016 and holding a completion ceremony in April 2018, investing roughly NT$290 million in new facilities. The school has marked a 70th-anniversary milestone. Today it sits inside the Qingpu Special Development Zone — one of the fastest-growing planned districts in Taiwan.

🌾 From Farmland Branch School to Modern Campus
What began in 1946 as a rural branch classroom serving farmland has become a fully rebuilt, modern school anchoring one of Taiwan's newest urban districts.
Growing with a brand-new district.
Qingpu Elementary has literally grown alongside its neighborhood's transformation — from a rural branch classroom serving farmland in 1946 to a rebuilt, nearly-tripled-in-size campus anchoring one of Taiwan's newest and fastest-growing high-speed-rail-driven urban districts today. Few schools in the district illustrate Zhongli's recent development story as directly.
