Cishan-Meinong Senior High School

Cishan-Meinong Senior High School was established in 1968, absorbing the senior-high students of the former Kaohsiung County Qishan Middle School. Its name, "旗美," combines Qishan (旗) and neighboring Meinong (美), reflecting a location near the border of the two districts, although the campus itself sits within Cishan — this is the public, national school, distinct from a similarly named private school located in neighboring Meinong District. Today the school enrolls roughly 655–671 students across 27 classes, offering vocational tracks in multimedia design and child care alongside a technology-forward international-education program, with a college-admission rate above 80%.

國立旗美高級中學創校於民國57年（1968年），承接原高雄縣立旗山中學的高中部學生。校名「旗美」結合旗山、美濃兩地地名，反映其地理位置鄰近兩區交界，惟校址實際座落於旗山區內——本校為公立國立學校，與鄰近美濃區另一所校名相近的私立學校並非同一機構。現有約655至671名學生、27班，設有多媒體設計、幼兒保育等職業類科，並發展科技導向的國際教育課程，大學升學率逾八成。
